What free numbers do, what they cannot do, and the private alternative
What a free number is good for
- Testing whether a form sends SMS at all
- Receiving a one-off message you do not mind being public
- Checking how fast a service sends its code
Where it fails
- WhatsApp, Telegram, Google and most big apps block shared numbers
- Anyone reading the inbox can take over your account
- Numbers are recycled, so codes may reach a stranger
A private number costs less than a coffee
A one-time private number starts at $0.26 and is charged only when your SMS arrives. Nobody else can read it, and it is never resold for the same service.
How it works
Choose a country and an app
Every one-time number is sold for one country and one service. The board shows the live price before you decide.
Get your number
Sign up, top up your balance, and a number is reserved for you within seconds. Enter it in the app you are verifying.
Receive the code online
The SMS appears in your dashboard the moment it lands. Copy the code, finish the sign-up, done.
If no SMS arrives within the waiting window, the number is released and you are not charged.
Questions, answered
How fast does the SMS arrive?
Usually within 30 seconds of the app sending it. If nothing arrives within the waiting window, the number is released and you are not charged.
Can I use one number for several apps?
A one-time number is sold for a single service. To receive codes from many apps on the same number, rent a full number.
Is it safe?
You receive a message on a number assigned to you. We never see your passwords, and no personal data is needed to buy a number.
Why do prices differ between countries?
Each number comes from a local carrier. Supply, demand and the app's own rules in that country set the price, which is why the board updates through the day.
What if the service refuses the number?
Pick another operator or country, or try a premium number. A number that receives nothing is never charged.
What is a free number?
A shared public number whose inbox anyone can read. Fine for a quick test, unsafe for anything you want to keep. A private one-time number starts at $0.26.
